Word was received by relatives in Clinton of the death in Chicago, yesterday of Mrs. James Dorsey, mother of Edward Dorsey, 514 North Fourth street, Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dorsey and daughter, Gladys, have been in Chicago, being called there by the aged lady's illness.

Surviving the deceased is her husband, and three children: Edward of Clinton, George of Anamosa, and Mrs. D. P. Murphy of Chicago, at whose home she passed away.

Mr. and Mrs. James Dorsey were the oldest living couple in their township in Jones county. Their home was in Anamosa, but they went to Chicago a couple of months ago to spend the winter with their daughter.

The body is to be taken to Anamosa, Ia., for burial, and the funeral party is expected to arrive in Clinton at 5 o'clock this afternoon, connecting with the Midland train on the Northwestern for Anamosa. The time for the funeral could not be learned here.

Anamosa, Iowa, January 14--The funeral of Mrs. James Dorsey was held in St. Patrick's church Friday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey had gone to Chicago to spend the winter with their daughter, where Mrs. Dorsey was taken sick and died. Mrs. Dorsey was born in Ireland over eighty years ago. She was married in 1859 to her husband, who survives her. Eight children were born to them but only the three are living, Edward, George and Margaret.
