Funeral services for Freida Avis Smith, 53, were held Saturday, Jan. 6, at 1:30 p.m. at the Hayden Funeral Home in Olin.

Rev. Edward Peterson of the United Methodist Church was the officiating minister and burial was at the Green Cemetery near Morley. Pallbearers were Danny Smith, Robert Hughes, David Wells, Darrell Woolison, Dale Wells and Larry Domer.

Smith died Jan. 3, 1979 at Omaha, NB.

She was born near Olin on Dec. 12, 1925, the daughter of George and Vera Wilkins Smith. At the age of 13 she entered the state institution at Woodward and later transferred to Glenwood.

She is survived by her mother, Vera Smith; six brothers, Frank, George and Stanley, Olin, Dan, Clinton, Richard, Anamosa, and Seward, Martelle; two sisters, Mrs. Ariel Domer, Mechanicsville, and Mrs. Mary Ann Wells, Anamosa.

Her father and one sister preceded her in death.
