22 December 1960 - The Anamosa Eureka

James McKeone, 83, Anamosa, died Monday, Dec. 19, at the Hults Rest home, Oxford Junction.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 22, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic church. Rev. J. A. McMahon officiated at the service. Burial was in Holy Cross cemetery.

Rosary was held Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 8 p.m., at the McNamara Funeral home.

Pallbearers included Ludwig Yanda, Albert Ament, Robert Neville, John McNamara, James Connolly and Glen McLaughlin.

He was born Jan. 26, 1877, son of Michael McKeone and Julia McCue McKeone, Anamosa.

He had spent all his life in the Anamosa vicinity. He was engaged in farming until his retirement several years ago.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
