Word was received by Mrs. Kathryn Peet, Martelle, of the death of her son-in-law, Robert Mercer, Tracy, Calif., Monday, Oct. 31.

Mr. Mercer suffered a stroke on Sept. 1 from which he never regained full consciousness except for a few minutes.

He grew up in Anamosa. March 1935 he was united in marriage to Florence Peet, Martelle. Couple established their home in Tracy, California, where they have since lived.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 2 at a Tracy Funeral home. Burial was in a cemetery at Tracy.

Beside his wife he is survived by a son, Ralph, with the Air Force, who is stationed in South Dakota; and one daughter, Kathy, Stockton, Calif.
