OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 17, in St. John's Lutheran church, Monticello, for Mrs. Margaret Ward, 75, who died Saturday noon, Oct. 15, in Mercy hospital, Anamosa.

Body was taken to the Goettsch funeral home, Monticello. Burial was in Monticello.

Mrs. Ward was born in Germany and came to the United States with her parents, John and Hannah Broken when a child of six months. Family lived north of Onslow.

May 1, 1933, she was united in marriage to James Ward at Galena, Ill. He died in 1945.

For twenty-two years after her husband's death, she lived in Oxford Junction as a housekeeper for the late Anthony Henek. For the last several months she had lived at the Rest home in Oxford Junction because of failing health. Two weeks ago she was taken to the Mercy hospital, Anamosa.
