8 September 1960 - The Anamosa Eureka

Body of Kimble McDaniel, 85, was found at his cabin home on highway 64 at east edge of Anamosa early this morning Sept. 8.

Deputy Coroner Dr. John L. Bailey said Mr. McDaniel apparently died of natural causes about midnight last night. Body was taken to the Goettsch Funeral Home.

Mr. McDaniel had been reported as in good health for his years prior to his death. He was retired and lived alone.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lillian Fairly, Olin.

Mr. McDaniel was a native of Jones county, born here Sept. 2, 1885, son of Mr. and Mrs. Augusta McDaniel. He was a lifetime resident of the state.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma, in 1936.
