Sophie Ricklefs, 68, died June 21 at her home near Center Junction.

Services were held Saturday, June 24, at the Zion Lutheran Church. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Anamosa. Rev. James Mattson officiated.

Pall bearers were Donald Ricklefs, Darwin Ricklefs, Lester Ricklefs, Earl Husman, Lawrence Ricklefs and James Ricklefs.

She was born August 24, 1909 in Jones County, the daughter of Diedrich and Wilhelmina Heideman Moenk. She married Herman Ricklefs, June 1, 1932, at Worthington, Minn. The couple farmed in the Monticello area until 1947, and since that time near Center Junction. Herman died in 1963.

Mrs. Ricklefs was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wyoming.

She is survived by one son, Vernon, Center Junction; two daughters, Luella Gardner, Blue Grass, and Elaine Halsch, Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Freida Minnis, Sand Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and one sister.
