Robert M. (Benny) Krutzfield, 51, of Center Junction, died Friday, April 14, at Anamosa.

He was born near Olin, May 5, 1926, the son of Fredrick and Ella Sieveka Krutzfield. He graduated from Olin high school and served in the army from 1951-1953. He married Marilyn Cornilsen, October 11, 1953, at Clinton. The couple farmed near Center Junction since their marriage.

He was a member of Blayney-Minor Legion Post No. 412 of Olin. He was a member of St. John American Lutheran Church in Olin. He served on the council and the Center Junction Community Betterment Council.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; a son, Randy; a daughter, Karen, at home; two brothers, Richard, Center Junction, and Donald, Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services were Tuesday, April 18, at St. John American Lutheran Church in Olin. Officiating was the Rev. John Flaa. Burial was in the Olin cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Victor Thomsen, Gary Catlett, Noel Ostrander, Robert Buol, Lyle Vernon and Albert Storm.
