Anamosa, Ia., Oct. 18--The death of Mrs. John Dougherty at Coggon will be heard with regret by many. Mrs. Dougherty was born in County Tipperary, Ireland, 76 years ago. She came to America when but five years of age and was married to John Dougherty 40 years ago. Mr. Dougherty died in 1912. She was the mother of eleven children all but one of whom survive her. John, James and Bernard, Mrs. Lee Green, Mrs. Frank Kairns and Mrs. S. T. McLaughlin all live in Anamosa; also a brother, Patrick Hayes. The funeral services were held in Coggon, conducted by Father Haugh of that place and Father Malloy of Ryan. Burial was in Holy Cross cemetery at Anamosa.
