OXFORD JUNCTION--Schuyler G. Vrooman, 79, Oxford Junction, died on Monday, April 18, at the Hults Rest home, Oxford Junction, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 20, at 1:30 p.m., at the Wallace Funeral home, Wyoming. Rev. Lloyd Dutro, of the E.U.B. church, Olin, officiated. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Pallbearers were Vee Vrooman, Howard Vrooman, Omar Vrooman, James Vrooman, Roger Vrooman and Norman Carstensen.

He was born Oct. 9, 1880, son of William and Emily Graham Vrooman, Hale township. He had spent most of his life in Chicago, Ill., where he worked as a clerk in a retail cigar store. He was a veteran of World war I. He had been a patient at the Hults Rest home for over two years.

Survivors include one niece, Hazel, Mrs. John Carstensen, Clarence; and four nephews, Vee Vrooman and Omar Vrooman, Olin; Everett Vrooman, San Francisco, Calif.; and Howard Vrooman, Bettendorf.
