Steven Edward Wheelock, 51, Anamosa, died Wednesday, March 16, at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's church, Anamosa. Requiem high mass will be sung by Rev. J. A. McMahon. Interment will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Anamosa.

Pallbearers will be Charles Sanborn, John W. McNamara, Ralph Hustman, William J. McNamara, James Connolly and Cletus McNamara.

Rosary will be recited Friday, at 8 p.m., at McNamara Funeral home.

He was born June 22, 1908, son of Henry and Nora Collins Wheelock, Story county. He lived in rural Anamosa for several years where he was engaged in farming with his father. For the last 10 years he has been employed as a salesman for the Walnut Grove Feed Co., Atlantic.

Survivors include his father, Henry, Anamosa; and three brothers, Joseph Wheelock, Anamosa; Harry Wheelock, Clinton; and Edward Wheelock, Anita.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1946.
