WYOMING -- Martin Carstensen, 51, Wyoming, died Friday morning, Jan.8, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m., at the Wallace Funeral home, Wyoming. Rev. G. M. Field officiated. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Pallbearers were Eugene Wink, Charles Allen, Frank Snyder, William Folkers, Lewis Brockhohn and Charles Breedlove.

Mrs. Walter Sullivan was organist. Walter Sullivan was soloist.

Martin Carstensen, son of the late August Carstensen and Katherine Petersen Carstensen, was born May 13, 1908 at Wyoming. He attended the Wyoming high school. He was united in marriage to Verna Moir of Mechanicsville. He spent his entire life in Wyoming, and for the last 16 years had been employed at the Fruehoff Trailer Co., Cedar Rapids.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Janet, Cedar Rapids; a son, Donald, at home.

Also surviving are three brothers, Herman, August and John, all of Wyoming; four sisters, Minna, Mrs. Max Thomsen, Anamosa; Hertha, Mrs. Elmer Bahnsen; Emma, Mrs. Wilbur Paulsen; Dora, Mrs. Raymond Dusanek, all of Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
