Anamosa, Ia., Aug. 13--Miss Kate McCann, one of the old settlers, died the past week. She was the daughter of the late John McCann, Sr., an old Civil war veteran. She had been an invalid and cripple for many years and had no near relatives. Burial was at Holy Cross cemetery.
