Olin, Ia., Sept. 22--The body of Clarence C. Cole arrived in Olin Thursday evening and the funeral was held from the U.B. church at 10:30 o'clock Friday, with interment in the City cemetery. Clarence was an Olin boy, being born and reared in this community. He lived here until after his marriage to Miss Hallie Claney in August 1908, when they went to Coggon, where they resided for a short time. Later Mr. Cole sold his paper and took a position with the Cedar Rapids Republican. They moved to that city and resided there until about a month ago, when he sold out his interest in the Lille & Cole printing establishment to Mr. Lille and started for his new home at Imperial, Neb., where he expected to go into the agricultural business with his father-in-law. It was on this auto trip that he met instant death when within 17 miles of his destination. The high esteem in which he was held was attested by the large concourse of friends who attended the funeral. His wife and little son, Kenneth, are left to mourn their great loss which only time can heal.. The funeral services were conducted by Dr. M. R. Drury of Cedar Rapids, acting pastor of the U.B. church, assisted by Rev. Mr. Stookey of the Presbyterian church of Center Park, Cedar Rapids and Rev. C. C. Hobson and Rev. S. V. William of Olin.
