In Madison Township, Jones County, Iowa, June 6th of dropsy of the brain, LILLY L. COSSUM, aged 6 months, youngest child of EDWARD and CLARA COSSUM, late of Anamosa.

Little Lilly has gone, by the way of the tomb.
To the heavenly Eden, there forever to bloom,
This earth was too cold for her longer to stay.
So her Savior thought best to take her away.

She was such a sweet flower; he saw it was best,
To transplant her hence, to the land of the blest,
Where no blight can o’er come to harm or annoy
Dear Lilly ever, in her fruition of joy.
