Funeral services were held for Henry L. Benischek, 73, rural Oxford Junction on Saturday August 21st at 10:30 a.m. at Hayden's Funeral Home. Burial was at Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction.

Mr. Benischek died Thursday morning at the Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa.

He was born December 17, 1902 in rural Oxford Junction. He was the son of Nicholas and Mary Benischek Benischek.

On August 12, 1925 he married Thelma Dean at Maquoketa. She preceded him in death on January 28, 1976. They farmed south of Oxford Junction for four years. After living in town, they moved north of Oxford Junction in 1934, where he was living at the time of his death.

Survivors are one son, Gene, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Phyllis) Bisinger, Monmouth; Mrs. Fred (Marlene) Feuss, Jr., Lost Nation; Mrs. James (Claudette) Brown, Marion and Mrs. Kirk (Jane) Rentschler, Solon; eleven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Alfred (Dora) Groth of Olin.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, two sisters and six brothers.

The pallbearers were Arnold Bisinger, Fred Feuss, Jr., James Brown, Kirk Rentschler, Glenn Pense and James Kostichek.
