Wyoming, Ia., March 13--John Smith, one of the oldest pioneers of Jones county, died at his home Sunday evening. He will be buried at Wyoming. He leaves seven children to mourn his death, Mrs. H. P. Barber, Mrs. Jennie Bender of Wyoming, James and Laura of Onslow, Mrs. Del Wright of Monticello, George of Clinton, Johnnie at home. Had he lived until June he would have reached the ripe old age of 82.
