Charles C. Waters, 75, died Sunday morning May 16th at Jackson County Hospital in Maquoketa.

He was born February 6, 1901 at Montrose, son of Charles and Rose Marshal Waters. He married Grace Osgood on September 5, 1925 in Davenport. During their married life they lived in Davenport, Lowden and Lost Nation. Charles made his home in the Ken Mor Apartments for the past 3 years.

Surviving are two sons, Eddie of Lappeer, Mich. and Charles of West Palm Beach Florida, and 6 daughters, Mrs. Ralph Eggert (Dorothy) of Wyoming, Mrs. John Nissen (Connie) of Center Junction, Mrs. Cecil Knotta (Jeannette) of Cascade, Mrs. Clyde Stender (Donna) Anamosa, Mrs. Ed Nieber (Irma) Maquoketa, and Mrs. Myron Sheldon (Wanita) of Lost Nation, 25 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters.

He was preceded in death by his wife, 1 daughter Sandra, and 2 sisters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday May 18th at 10:00 a.m. in Malamphy Chapel in Lost Nation. A Nephew, Earl Gould, officiated. Mrs. Carol Pithan was the organist and Mrs. Jean Gould was the soloist.

The pallbearers were all grandsons: Alan Sheldon, Mark Knuth, Jeff Eggert, Jerry Eggert, Jim Eggert, Joe Wojcik, Rick Buresh and Paul Thomsen.

Burial was at Oakdale Cemetery in Davenport.
