Wyoming, Ia., Feb. 20--Nicklos Lindsey, an aged veteran of the civil war, died at the soldiers' home at Marshalltown on Feb. 12. The remains were brought to his old home and the funeral services held from the Presbyterian church on Feb. 14. Rev. De Best, pastor of the church, preached the sermon. He was born in Ohio Feb. 26, 1835. He enlisted from his home town, serving just three years to the day. On Sept. 5, 1880, he was married to Louisa Miller. He leaves his wife and one daughter, two grandchildren to mourn his death. He was laid to rest in the cemetery at Wyoming. The G.A.R. and M.W.A. attended the service in a body. Had he lived a few days longer he would have reached the age of 82 years.
