Fred George Fritz, 80, passed away at the Jackson County Hospital, Maquoketa, on Friday, February 13.

He was born on February 10, 1896, son of Frank and Anna Slouha Fritz, in Walker, Iowa. He was a resident of Jones County and the Wyoming area for many years.

He married Fannie Riches on February 2, 1926 at Anamosa.

He was a 50 year member of Modern Woodmen of America and a 50 year member of I.O.O.F. Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Frank, Wyoming, 2 daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Helen) Wallace, Newton, and Clara Fritz, Marion, 1 sister, Mrs. Norris Luckstead, Olin, and 4 grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his parents and 1 sister.

Services were held of February 16 at Hayden Funeral Home in Wyoming. Pall Bearers were: Faron Fritz, Gary Wallace, Robert Nowachek, Paul Huston, LeRoy Dirks, and Arthur Ehlers.

Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery.
