Anamosa, Iowa, Aug. 23--The death of Mrs. S. A. Benton occurred at the home of David Russell last week, the funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Benton was born in 1837, her husband died shortly after their marriage and she has lived a widow for 50 years. Having no children or near kindre she has made her home these later years with the Russell family, where she has been tenderly cared for. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. L. C. Lemon of the M.E. church.
