Mrs. J. M. Shields, who died at her home not far from Anamosa, was much respected by many friends in this place, where she was well known. She was born in Pennsylvania about 57 years ago. She is survived by one son and one daughter, with the latter of whom she made her home. The funeral was held at the Antioch church, the Rev. L. C. Lemon of Anamosa preaching the sermon and a choir of singers from Anamosa giving the music. Burial was in the Antioch cemetery.
