Carlyle James Rockwell, 47, passed away early Friday morning, October 31, 1975 at the Anamosa Community Hospital following a brief illness.

Carlyle was born on April 26, 1928, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Rockwell of Maquoketa. He was a 1945 graduate of the Maquoketa Community High School.

Carlyle married Bertha Tapken on November 14, 1951. They made their home in Jones County for the past 19 years. Carlyle was a technician at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his wife Bertha, one son, Alan, at home, one daughter, Linda, Cedar Rapids, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Rockwell, Maquoketa, two brothers, Jim and Donald, both of Maquoketa, and one sister, Mrs. Karl (Reta) Blizek, Maquoketa.

Services were held on Monday, November 3rd at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery at Anamosa.
