Anamosa, Iowa, August 10--The news of the death of W. D. Gordon at Dayton Beach, Florida will be heard with regret by the friends of the Gordon family. Mr. Gordon his wife and mother were all natives of England, during the years they resided in Anamosa, Mr. Gordon was engaged in the dry goods business and was one of the leading merchants. For the benefit of Mrs. Gordan's health they removed to Florida several years ago, where the climate helped Mrs. Gordon, but her husband was never as well as when living north. Particulars concerning his death are not known, but the fact will be regretted by the many who knew him personally or only in a business way.
