Edna Mae Walters, 80, passed away Sunday, October 28, at the Anamosa Community Hospital. She was born December 3, 1892, on a farm near Onslow, the daughter of Peter and Amanda Lepze Strong. She was married in 1927 to Roy C. Walters and lived in the Anamosa area prior to moving to Arizona for several years. Mrs. Walters lived for the past 22 years in Onslow, where she was employed as a telephone operator.

She is survived by two sons, William of Wyoming and Donald of Elkader, one sister, Mrs. Frank Fairbanks of Wyoming and five grandchildren.

Services were held on Wednesday, October 31st at 1:30 pm at Haydens Funeral Home. Rev. David Black officiated.

Pallbearers were Tom Gutzeit, Lewis Norris, Wilfred Wherry, Kenneth Jorgensen, George Wessels and Merle Lathrop.
