Glen Westphal

WYOMING, Iowa - Glen R. Westphal, 79, died Tuesday at his home.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Wyoming. Burial will be in Wyomin Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Thursday at Hayden Funeral Home, Wyoming.

Mr. Westphal married Ruth Heneke in 1940 in Davenport. They made their home on the family farm east of Wyoming. He farmed there until 1973, when they retired and moved into Wyoming.

He was a member of the church.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sandra (Mrs. Jerry) Manwiller, West Des Moines; and Mona (Mrs. Dana) Brenneman, Des Moines; sons, James, Bettendorf; and Charles, Wyoming; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Ray.
