Hilda Catlett

Hilda B. Catlett, 71, Wyoming, died on Wednesday, May 20, at the John McDonald Hospital in Monticello. Services were held on Saturday, May 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the Wyoming United Methodist Church, with Rev. Gwyn Osuch, officiating. Vocal music was provided by Mrs. Kenneth Hamann and organist was Mrs. Richard Pace. Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Catlett, Paul Catlett, Gary Catlett and David Catlett, Alvin Orr and Daryl Carstensen.

Hilda Brodersen Catlett was born near Wyoming on October 7, 1909 the daughter of Herman and Anna Thompsen Brodersen. She attended rural schools in the area. On January 6, 1932 she was married to Acel Catlett at Rock Island, IL. They farmed near Wyoming all their lives.
Mrs. Catlett was a member of the Peerless Chapter #435 Order of the Eastern Star of oxford Junction. Midland Homemakers, and the Wyoming United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband and three daughters, Mrs. Dave (Donna Jean) Cox, Northfield, IL; Mrs. George (Mary Ann) Spears, St. Charles, IL; Mrs. Robert (Judith Mae) Sherman, Little Rock, AR; one son, Acel Jr., Durant; seven grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Fadley, Onslow.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
