Funeral services for Alfred Bahnsen, 78, of Monmouth were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Chappin of Monmouth officiating. Services were from the Hayden Funeral home and burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Mr. Bahnsen died Monday, Feb. 10. Other details were not available at press time.

ALFRED BAHNSEN
WYOMING....Alfred Sankey Bahnsen, 78, was born in Madison township Dec 1, 1885 and died at the Jackson county hospital, Maquoketa, Feb. 10 following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 1 p.m. at the Hayden Funeral home with Rev. Stanley Chapin, Monmouth, officiating. Burial was at the Wyoming cemetery.

Mr. Bahnsen was the son of John and Christina Schmalfeldt. He was educated in the Pense school and worked for several years in a grocery store at Westside.

On Feb. 6, 1935, he was married to Greta Zufall. They made their home on a farm near Monmouth until they retired 15 years ago
He is survived by his wife; three brothers, Sol of Oxford Jct., Elmer and John T of Wyoming; three sisters, Mrs. Adolph (Malinda) Benning of Wyoming and Mrs Josie Myers and Mrs. Nate Martens of Westside. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
