Services Held for Mrs. Puetz

Cascade - Funeral services were held last week in St. Mary's church here for Mrs. Elizabeth Puetz, 72, a former resident 'of Hopkinton and a widow of the late Peter Puetz. She died at her home in Cascade, Nov. 12. Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery at Temple Hill.

Elizabeth Warborg, daughter of Henry and Josephine Boechelman Warborg, was born at Dyersville, Sept. 7. 1882. She married Peter Puetz at Petersburg. Feb. 9, 1904 and they spent several years on farms near Dyersville. The family moved to a farm southeast of Hopkinton, and spent ten years in the Sand Spring area, prior to moving to a farm near Cascade, where the home was made until 1952, when Mrs. Puetz and family moved to Cascade to make her home. Mr. Puetz died March 7, 1949.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. John (Lena) Uhlenkamp of Strawberry Point; Mrse. Ellis (Josephine) Sackett of Cascade; Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Schwartzlow of Albany, Wis; Mrs. H. (Frances) Deppe of Bellevue; Miss Theresa Puetz of Cascade; four sons, Michael Puetz of Bernard; Henry and Anthony Puetz, both of Cascade; and Joseph Puetz of Canton.

Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Lena Wagner of Dubuque; Mrs. Theresa Albang of Hopkinton; Mrs. George (Ann) Billmeyer of Cascade; Mrs. Carl (Frances) Quint of Winthrop: two brothers, Anthony Warborg of Remsen and Joseph Warborg of Alvord; 25 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
