CASCADE, Iowa - Thresia M. Puetz, 93, of Cascade, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Cascade, with the Rev. Daniel Krapfl officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Temple Hill. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m., and a Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary at 4:30 p.m.

She was born on Feb. 23, 1913, in Worthington, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Warborg) Puetz.

She received her education at Holy Rosary School in La Motte.

Thresia was a homemaker and housekeeper for area priests, family and residents.

She was a member of St. Matthias Parish in Cascade, the Cascade Catholic Daughters of the Americas - Blessed Mother Court 1926, and a member of the Cascade Senior Citizens.

Surviving are a sister, Frances Deppe, formerly of Bellevue; a brother, Joe (Ann) Puetz, of Maquoketa; a sister-in-law, Therese Puetz, of Earlville; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers and sisters, Mike Puetz, Henry Puetz, Lena Uhlenkamp, Josie Sackett, Margaret Schwartzlow and Tony Puetz.

A Thresia M. Puetz Memorial Fund has been established.
