The Death Angel – Three Children
Lying Dead In One Family

The Death Angel has indeed visited this place and taken from one of our most highly esteemed families three little ones within the brief span of twenty four hours. Three children ranging from two years to eight years, belonging to Mr. Lehman, (now familiarly known as the German florist), were violently attacked a day or two since which was pronounced to be diphtheria, and although the best medical skill at hand was promptly called, the little ones rapidly passed to that better land, where, we who have been called upon to part with our little ones, confidently trust that all is well with them. Death occurred on Wednesday night, and on the following night the two remaining ones died within a few hours’ time of each other. The three are at this writing lying side by side in the home of this stricken family, and one of the two remaining children is thought to be suffering from an attack of a similar nature to that of the deceased ones.
