CENNTENNIAL QUARRY-John Althen and P. McKeon have associated themselves as a firm to engage in the quarrying of stone two miles west of Anamosa. The quarry is a new one, having been opened during the past summer. It is located on Section 84 and is about a quarter of a mile south of the Buffalo. The quarry is accessible by a good road up to the “Forks.” The stone is pronounced of the best quality and Messrs. Althen & McKeon expect to work the quarry most of the winter. Both are old citizens of Anamosa, well known as thoroughly reliable in their dealings, and those who order stone at the Centennial Quarry will find that they will fill the bill every time.
