Johnson County Poor House

I have been looking for my fathers family FOREVER.
He died when I was 2 and he was 36.

My mother told me that he stayed at the Johnson County Poor Farm in 1956. Which is when he arrived in Iowa City. Prosumably from North Dakota which is where he got his SS card in 1954.

I need to find these records. To see of he put down his parents names and where he was born.

So far he has used 2 differnt birth places and 2 sets of parents.
