Linda, I couldn't find much, but did post two obituaries (Levica A. McLaughlin, Mattie A. Trine) that are connected to the family on the obit board:

I found these at an online newspaper subscription service that has some Iowa City Newspapers. Unfortunately, the years 1942-1945 are absent. Euphemia Trine's obit might be found in that range.

In 1939 a Centennial edition of the Press-Citizen was issued. In it I find a (bad) picture of Mrs. and Mrs. Joseph Stover, who came from Indiana in 1838. I will send the digital copy to you via email.
