Karin,
I did a search of news items for Alda and Henry, but could not find obits. However, not all Iowa City newspaper issues are available in the on-line service I use. I did find a marriage announcement for Alda Sponey and Henry Fuhrmeister. It seems Alda was married prior to Henry. Did you know this? It's a bit confusing, but it looks as if there were a few inter-marriages between Fuhrmeister's and Evans'.
