I have posted an obit and some other news items (reunions, marriage) documents. Search Obituaries and Documents on these boards. Be sure to select "Search Surnames AND message text", then type in "palmer chandler".

At ancestry, I found in the Johnson County, Iowa Wpa Grave Registrations :
John L Palmer, d. 13 Apr 1871, Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Washington, M; FH;55y
Sarah Palmer, d. 23 Feb 1887, Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Washington, F; FH;71y

At the LDS website I find the following:

The LDS IGA records show
Sarah Chandler, b. Abt. 1830
John L. Palmer b. Abt. 1828, Chester, Pa
and a marriage of 13 OCT 1836, Belmont, Ohio
a child, Jesse Romans PALMER, male, b. 8 Mar 1854, Harrison Co., Oh, etc. with his wife and children.

1880 Census, Washington twp, Johnson co, Iowa:
Sarah PALMER Self W Female W 64 PA Housekeeping PA NJ
Emma PALMER Dau S Female W 22 IA Housekeeping PA PA
Ellsworth PALMER Son S Male W 16 IA Farming PA PA
