Johann Friedrich Schley b 1 Nov 1805 Kirchardt, Baden, Germany immigrated with his children in Nov 1852 via ship "Finland" to Baltimore, Maryland. He was a tailor by trade and is believed to have remained in Maryland until after 1860's. In 1880, he is in Big Grove, Johnson County, Iowa (where his son Frederick Wesley Schley is also located). He is with John & Julia Brakel, b Wurtemburg, Germany and is farming.
A Robert Bowman, age 20, from Baden, is also farming with this family.
I am looking for a death date and burial for Johann Friedrich Schley - probably in Johnson County.
