1891 Birth Record Request

I'm looking for the name of the father of twins FRED and FRIEDA BARYLAK, who were born out of wadlock to Kate Barylak in April 1891 in Iowa City. I understand birth records were being kept at the county level at that time. Would someone be willing to look up this record me? Also, coming from a Catholic family, the twins may have been baptized in the Catholic Church. Does anyone know what the name of the Catholic Church was at that time and if, and where, those records are kept? Thank you so much for any assistance anyone can give me!
