Sorry, I forgot to tell you that Betsy Elizabeth Akers, my g.g.grandmother married F.W.Hemsted in PA. in 1833. In 1838 they moved to Ohio, then to Iowa.I have all the information regarding his first wife and their 10 children. His 2nd wife Eliza Elizabeth Akers, was the great niece of his first wife. Her name was Eliza Akers. She was over 40 years his junior. F.W. and Eliza adopted 2 children and had 4 biological children. This is quite a story. F.W. fathered his last child at the age of 72! Never a dull moment!
