Mary "Minnie" md (1) John Albert Smythe, son of Jeremiah Smythe and Catherine Shafer. The children were Katherine, James M., and John Albert Jr. (James M. was my grandpa.)

After the family moved to KS, Mary remarried to Robert Languein and they had 8 children. Mary's sisters Lucy and Eudora Belle, and their mother Adaline (Hedden) Jellison, and Mary's mother-in-law Catherine (Shafer) Smythe also moved to KS.

These people and many details are in my book "The Descendants of Rev. Robert Smythe, born about 1793, Ulster, Ireland," 2002. Reprints are available from the Higginson Book Co. BYU has posted the book online.

I also have extensive info about the Jellison ancestors.
