I already gave you information (from a small news blurb) that John Kripner died near Solon, November 24, 1893, so he wouldn't be listed in the 1895 census. Hopefully you can get someone to lookup his full obituary in an Iowa City newspaper and find more information on his death.

I have had success in finding the obit for Mary Mezik and posted on these message boards:
