Callistus “Kelly” Ruth Young, 76, of Coralville died Thursday February 23, 2006 at Mercy Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday February 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Lensing’s Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Road. Pastor Thomas Carver will officiate. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery, Coralville. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Coralville. Memorials can be made in Kelly’s name to the Coralville American Legion or the Coralville Morning Optimist.

Kelly was born on October 14, 1929 in York County, Nebraska to James and Mary (Slezak) Turek. She married Kenny Young on April 12, 1952 in Plainview, Nebraska. Kenny passed away on February 21, 2000.

Kelly worked as a dietary technician for the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

Kelly is survived by her children Greg (Sharon) Blairstown and Rod (Donna) of North Liberty; her grandchildren Brian Young, Alicia (Matt) Hayes, Scott Young, Doug Studer and Mindy Studer; her great-grandchildren Jaise Studer and Emma and Claire Hayes.

Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers James Turek, Richard Turek and Frank Turek and sisters Mary Green, Lillian Kubicek and Helen Schuster.
