Maxine Ruth Lipsius, 74, died Monday February 13, 2006 at Mercy Hospital following a short illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday February 17, 2006 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Kuntz and Father Ed Fitzpatrick co-celebrants. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Lensing Oakhill, 210 Holiday Road, Coralville with a Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Memorials can be made out in Maxine’s name to Iowa City Hospice.

Maxine was born on December 18, 1931 in Morse, IA to Herbert and Edith Carson Wonick. She married Robert Lipsius on September 7, 1961 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Beta Sigma Phi.

Maxine is survived by her husband Robert, daughter Darcy Lipsius of Iowa City and her children Hillary, Charles, and Elena Foster, son Mark Lipsius and wife Ronda of Iowa City and their children Timothy, Danielle and Tiffany, daughter Tracy Schwichtenberg and husband Shawn of Mankato, MN and their children Jared, Rachel and Kayla.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents.
