Charlene Marian Thomason Seehan, 80, of 1259 Shannon Drive and formerly of West Chester, Iowa died Friday, January 27, 2006 at Mercy Hospital following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Michael Phillips officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:30-7:00 at the funeral home. A general memorial fund has been established in Charlene’s name.

Charlene was born April 22, 1925 in Iowa City, the daughter of George and Goldie Stevens Smith. She was a graduate of Nursing at Mercy Hospital. She married Ralph Lawrence Thomason, he died in 1966. She later married Jim Seehan, he died in 1996.

Charlene had been a nurse at Mercy Hospital for many years. She had recently moved back to Iowa City to be near her family.

She is survived by her two sons: Dick (Connie) Thomason of Iowa City and Mark (Theresa) Thomason of Leonardtown, Maryland; two sisters, Betty Brown of Muscatine and Virginia (Elmer) Galloway of Lone Tree; one brother George (Charlotte) Smith of West Liberty; three grandchildren, Christi (Jason) Sasina, Cally (Doug) Broughton and Angela (J.P.) Keohane; four great grandchildren, Jared Sasina, Cira, Cayla and Camry Broughton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands.
