DIES SUDDENLY

Rites for Cosgrove
Farmer, 54, Will be
Held Tuesday Morning

John M. O'Brien, 54, farm resident in Union township for many years, died suddenly about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in his home near Cosgrove.
John M. O'Brien was born July 19, 1895, near Cosgrove, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick O'Brien, who now are residents of Iowa City.
Surviving him, beside his parents, are a widow; three children, Terry, Rosemary and Patrick, all at home.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Charles Brogia and Mrs. Henry Swartzendruber, both of Iowa City; four brothers, James, Ralph and Don, all of Iowa City, Lester of Los Angles, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's church in Cosgrove. Burial will be in St. Peter's cemetery.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the Hohenschuh mortuary.
