Margaret E. Becker, 82, of Coralville died at Windmill Manor in Coralville Monday, December 19, 2005 from complications of Alzheimers Disease.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 11AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Forest Park, Illinois with burial in Concordia Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7pm Tuesday at Zimmerman, Ehringer and Harnett Funeral Home in Forest Park. Memorials may be directed to Pathways Adult Day Care, 817 Pepperwood Lane, Iowa City, Iowa 52240.

Margaret was born December 7, 1923 in Racine, Wisconsin. On November 23, 1945 she married Gerhardt Becker.

She and her husband lived in Forest Park from 1948 to 2002 at which time they moved to Coralville. Margaret was an editorial assistant for the Journal of Geography and for Lutheran Education. She later became business manager for the Forest Park Community School District. Margaret was very creative and operated a ceramics business from her home.

Margaret was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband Gerhardt; three daughters Elizabeth, Carolyn and Catherine (James) Lane of Iowa City; one son; Christopher and Frederick; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a granddaughter.
