John Joseph Albert, 72, formerly of Iowa City and Indianapolis, IN, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Mississippi Valley Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Keokuk. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, October 11, 2024, at Lensing’s Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Road. A gathering will follow at the funeral home until 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to NAMI.

John was born on August 12, 1952, in Clinton, IA, the son of Richard and Margaret (Jordan) Albert. He graduated from The University of Iowa in 1974 with a degree in Social Work. This is where he met his wife, Gloria Ocheltree and they were married in 1983. They loved going to Indy 500s together. Later on in his career he switched to landscaping.

John is survived by his brother, Jim (JoAnn) Albert of Coralville, IA and their son, Jordan (Stefani) Albert of Tiffin, IA; and many extended family.

John was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gloria.
