Alice M. Dunifer, age 90 formerly of Iowa City died Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Park Center in Newton, Iowa.

Alice Marie Mullen was born November 22, 1933, In Viroqua, Wisconsin, the daughter of Glen and Edith (Thompson) Mullen. She married Donald E. Dunifer on February 15, 1953, at the George Air Force Base in Victorville, CA. The couple and family have lived in a number of communities, retiring in Iowa City.

Her family includes her children, Susan Podlesak (John), Jeffrey Dunifer, and Julie Schultz (Paul); five grandchildren, Nick, Brad, Eric, Alex (Marie), and Kasey; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Don; grandson, Stephen Schultz and great-granddaughter, Emerson Dunifer.
