Graveside services for Raymond Dean Westfall, 51, West Branch, were held July 30 at Oakland cemetery in Iowa City.

Mr. Westfall died July 25 at University hospitals in Iowa City.

He was born Aug. 20, 1932 in Iowa City to Raymond and Jessie Smith Westfall. He married Betty D. Swolley July 3, 1980 in Iowa City.

Mr. Westfall attended the Iowa City schools. He worked for the West Branch police department for about a year and he was an Iowa City police officer from 1956 to 1962. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3949.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Jessie, at home; 4 sons, Kevin, Minneapolis, Minn.; Robert, Omaha, Neb.; Craig, Iowa City and Kyle, West Branch; his father, Raymond, Iowa City and a stepbrother, Kenneth, Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his mother.
