Teresa Marie Welsh, 72, passed away on August 13, 2023 after a long illness. She was born on March 31, 1951 in Iowa City, Iowa.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents: Elaine Welsh and John Welsh. She is survived by her sisters: Maureen Caruso, Patricia Welsh, and Sheila Welsh; nieces: Ana and Ali Melgard and nephews: Evan and Kiel Van Ness and special friend, Dan Welsh.

Patricia graduated from West High School and the Chicago Art Institute. She lived in San Francisco and Chicago for many years before returning to Iowa City where she worked as a retail manager. Teresa had an artistic eye and used her talents to decorate as well as to design and create clothing and jewelry. Unfortunately, she struggled with health issues later in life.

The family wishes to extend their many thanks to Blackhawk Nursing Home and Cedar Valley Hospice for their guidance and care. She will be laid to rest with her parents in St Joseph’s Cemetery in Iowa City during a private ceremony.
